About Dr. Coppola

Hi! I am Dr. Tara Coppola,

Hi! I am Dr. Tara Coppola, a vitalistic naturopath dedicated to empowering my patients to heal themselves holistically and cultivate autonomy over their health. With a deep commitment to nurturing the body’s intrinsic healing abilities, I integrate a wealth of knowledge and experience into my practice at Rising Phoenix Naturopathy.

I completed a rigorous two-year residency at Human Nature Natural Health in Portsmouth, NH, and am honored to be a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor licensed in both New Hampshire and Arizona. I earned my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT, graduating in 2021. For my thesis, I authored research on the use of Viscum album in cancer care, which reflects my dedication to exploring holistic approaches to complex health challenges.

To deepen my expertise, I have pursued postdoctoral studies specializing in homeopathy, a therapeutic modality that employs minute substances to activate the body’s natural healing processes and restore balance. Over the past three years, I have diligently studied with the New England School of Homeopathy, refining my skills in the art and science of homeopathic prescribing.

Before embarking on my journey in naturopathic medicine, I earned a Master of Science in Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University, where I also became a certified biology and health education teacher. My educational background includes a comprehensive approach to health; I authored a health curriculum augmentation focused on the science of nutrition for high school health education classrooms. I have taught high school Biology and Anatomy & Physiology in New Haven, CT, as well as middle school Health Education in Darien, CT.

My academic foundations are complemented by a dual Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Haven, where I studied Nutrition and Dietetics alongside Premedical Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. I began my educational journey with an Associate of Science in Human Services from Tunxis Community College.

My holistic approach is enriched by nearly two decades of experience in the fitness industry, where I have worked as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, cycling instructor, and nutritionist. My dedication to health and wellness extends to my competitive background, having competed on the women’s physique stage. This firsthand experience has provided me with invaluable insights into the body’s adaptive capacity and the profound impact of the mind on physical health.

At Rising Phoenix Naturopathy, I employ a range of therapeutic modalities, including botanical medicine, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle coaching. My patient-centered approach focuses on helping individuals understand their unique health stories and take meaningful steps toward well-being.

Outside of my practice, I am passionate about educating the community on the principles of naturopathic medicine and the potential of natural therapies to enhance quality of life. I invite you to embark on a transformative journey to holistic health and self-empowerment. Together, we can unlock your body’s potential and help you thrive.
